So, yesterday I went to one of my favorite places, the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
It’s interesting to see how things that were, at one point in time, important for everyday life, can not only give us insight, today, for how lifestyles were back then, but can also equivocate as art.
This had me thinking…
What does our generation have to offer to the future generations?
Will our ipads, ipods, and smartphones be what we want to represent us to future generations? will our digital photos, facebook profiles, and tweets outlive us? Are we producing anything even worth preserving?
We’re living in an unartistic society that may never make it into a museum. Future generation my go living never knowing that we existed.
